About me

👨‍💻 Hello, my name is Grzegorz.
I’m a Java Developer with a passion for learning and solving real problems. Ater many years in another industry, I decided to change my career. Today I have a stable life and can finally do what I really enjoy – programming. Sometimes I lose track of time when learning new things, but it gives me great satisfaction. I am determined, hard-working, and I like a friendly work environment.

I don't like changing jobs often – I prefer long-term cooperation and good team spirit. Outside of work, I teach children programming as a tutor (Scratch and Python). It’s more like a hobby for me because I enjoy working with kids and sharing knowledge. This job also helps me improve my soft skills.

🎓 My Journey into IT

For many years I worked in another industry, but I didn’t see opportunities for growth. That’s why I started learning programming. I joined the Kodilla Java Developer Plus bootcamp and quickly discovered that this is what I want to do in life. I completed the course with great results and continued studying on my own. I also had private mentoring. I often study for several hours a day – like a second job – but it gives me real joy.

To improve my frontend skills, I finished postgraduate studies in JavaScript Development, learning React, Angular, Node.js, and more. My English is at B1–B2 level – I keep learning every day because I know it's important in IT.

Now I work as a Java Developer at a large telecom company. I create and maintain many microservices using Java, Spring, and hexagonal architecture. I like understanding the big picture – it helps me create better, more thoughtful solutions.

I also have a degree in Management and Marketing and a PSM I certificate. This gives me strong business knowledge, which I combine with my technical skills. I understand business needs and I’m able to suggest solutions that bring real value.

🌱 After Hours

In my free time, I go to programming events like Confitura, Java User Group and meet.js in Białystok. I like to meet other people from the tech community and learn something new.

Besides IT, I love spending time outdoors. I enjoy gardening and even the sound of the lawnmower helps me relax 😄

Feel free to check my blog, where I share my story and IT journey.
