It was a strange year – 2023 summary

About all

It was a bit of an unusual year, but, for me, surprisingly positive. I managed to achieve a lot and learn many important things. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting many valuable people.

Let me highlight some of key accomplishments:

  • Completion of the Kodilla Java bootcamp – it was only a 9-month bootcamp, but it opened the way for further development and showed me that programming is what I want to do in life.
  • Completion of the major project – DogShelterFriend. I also successfully deployed an online version of the application at dogs.gawrysiak.eu.
  • Participation in JUG and meet.js – I attended every meetup in my area, not missing any Java User Group meeting, gaining interesting connections and practical knowledge.
  • Creation of my portfolio and active blogging about my development. Successfully learning Docker, NGINX server configuration, and SSL certificate generation for my needs.
  • Participation in Warsaw IT Days, PB Job Fair, and Confitura conference – attended many great presentations.
  • Postgraduate studies as a JavaScript Developer at Bialystok University of Technology – currently halfway through with no problems passing the semester.
  • Completion of Bartek Kalka’s courses: Commercial Java Developer knowledge, Spring Ready.
  • Gaining valuable friends from the postgraduate studies, with whom I can mutually support and exchange knowledge and problem-solving methods.
  • Passing Java skills evaluation on LinkedIn.
  • Learning the basics of Poker while solving algorithmic problems with JavaScript.
  • Successfully solving many programming problems in my applications.

and many other achievements that I am proud of.

All in all, these accomplishments, among others, make me proud. I look forward to an even more exciting year ahead, eager to embrace the opportunities that await.

All the best in 2024.
