Report from meet.js #57 in Białystok

Gaining of knowledge

I had the pleasure of attending meet.js #57 in Białystok. The event took place at Gwint Club on the campus of Białystok University of Technology. There were two presentations that I found especially interesting.

Presentation 1: Are Technical Skills Enough?
The first presentation asked if technical skills alone are enough in today’s competitive IT market. The speaker explained that learning how to make good presentations and speak in public can help your career. Public speaking is not just about talking on stage. It includes everyday work situations like presenting ideas to colleagues or clients. I learned how to create an interesting presentation step by step, handle stress, and three key rules for effective presentations.

Presentation 2: Hubert Zub and Safe Deployments
The second presentation was by Hubert Zub, a well-known JavaScript educator. He talked about safe deployments of frontend applications. Hubert shared tips on how to update existing applications without problems. This is very important for beginner programmers. His advice on how to deploy without stress, even on Friday afternoons, was very useful.

Meet.js #57 in Białystok provided valuable information and inspiration. Both presentations showed the importance of combining technical skills with soft skills, and how to manage deployments safely. I am glad I attended this event and look forward to the next meet.js!
